Telangana Schools Shut For Three Days:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) announced a holiday for three days for all the schools in the state considering the harsh weather. Due to the heavy downpour in the state over the past three days, several low-lying regions are left drowned and the officials are working round the clock to bring things under control. Red and orange alerts have been issued for several Telangana states and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued warnings for heavy rain in the next two days. KCR chaired a high-level meeting with the officials and ministers on Sunday after which the decision was made. He reviewed the impact of rains and floods in Telangana. All the government officials are kept on high alert to prevent the loss of life and properties.

KCR said that there are huge inflows due to the heavy rains in all the dams, reservoirs and other water bodies in Telangana. All the people residing in low-lying regions are evacuated in Nizamabad, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam districts. With predictions of heavy rain, Hyderabad city is kept on high alert. There is huge water logging because of the heavy rain on Sunday. IMD issued a red alert and as a precautionary measure, KCR announced holidays for three days in Telangana. The Hyderabad cops advised the public to avoid travel and take a stock of the weather. The GHMC officials deployed special teams for the rescue operations in the city.
