Heavy Rain Alert in Telangana to Continue:- The rains have lashed the Telugu states and Telangana received excessive rainfall for the past one week. The Indian Meteorological Department issued warnings for several districts of Telangana and the government alerted all the concerned officials and leaders. Evacuation is done across the low-lying regions of the state. Hyderabad witnessed heavy rainfall and the rains continued on Tuesday and Wednesday. There has been huge water logging and the GHMC officials are working round the clock to avoid any unexpected incidents. There is no loss of life reported in Telangana till date. The weather authorities announced that Telangana would receive heavy rainfall in the next two days.
The department warned of heavy rainfall in some of the districts of the state. Telangana Chief Minister KCR asked the people to stay indoors unless if there is an emergency. Peddapally received the highest rainfall for the day with 16 cm of rainfall on Tuesday and the average rainfall in Telangana is said to be 10 cm. The northern parts of India also received heavy rainfall on Tuesday. Warangal, Jaishankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Vikarabad, Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar districts witnessed heavy rainfall and the ponds, rivers are completely full. The Godavari river reached the highest limit and the roads are blocked because of the outflow to the nearby villages. 25 villages in the Adilabad district lost connectivity as the roads are blocked. The officials are working round the clock and the rescue operations are underway in Telangana.
