KTR Visits Flood-Hit Areas:- Telugu States are seeing heavy rainfall since last week. Rains are expected to be more severe in the coming 24 hours. As part of a precautionary measure, all the district collectors were instructed to be available and follow up the concerned officials.
IMD has already asked the public not to leave their houses till its emergency. Schools and offices were declared holidays and also gave a work-from-home facility.
As part of the worst rain hit, Telangana minister KT Rama Rao has visited the rain situation and examined the flood water level of Hussain Sagar. He asked the opposition to come along with the officials and help the public at this time of crisis, instead of pointing out the issues. As part of the situation, leaves of all the MA & UD employees are cancelled in Telangana.

KTR also arranged a Tele conference and talked with officials and asked them to take preventive measures and take the utmost care to prevent the loss of lives. Minister also directed officials to follow up with the evacuation of people who live in the low-lying areas.
KTR after the review addressed the media conference and said that heavy rains are causing inconvenience to the public and prevention of any loss of life is the main agenda for the government.
Beside, ten people have lost their lives in different incidents in the state because of the heavy rainfall and flood. One youngster died because of high tension power cable, which fell on him because of heavy wind flow.
