Rain Alert in Hyderabad: Schools Closed

Rain Alert in Hyderabad: Schools Closed:- The rains started in Hyderabad again on Sunday. On Monday morning rain lashed out at many places disturbing the routine life. Medchal, Alwalu, Balanagar, Quthbullapur and a few other parts of the city were covered with rainwater after heavy rain.

Serilingampally recorded the heaviest rainfall of 23mm at 10:30 AM followed by Kukatpally at 22.8 mm. Kamareddy, Medak, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Peddapalli were also recorded with heavy rains and were issued an orange alert. These areas are at higher risk and govt also issued warnings of floods after the heavy rainfall.

The Telangana government has declared a holiday to the schools on Tuesday because of the heavy rains. The announcement was made just before the opening of schools and colleges.

IMD has issued a yellow alert. The city will likely experience moderate rainfall or thundershowers. However, the residents of Hyderabad are happy because they have seen a heavy rise in temperature in the past few days and now they are going to see a dip in temparature.

The government has asked the officials to take necessary precautions by looking at the latest updated weather forecast reports. The rains are going to continue till September 7th according to IMD forecast.
