It's a clean sweep for Pawan Kalyan's Janasena:- Janasena founder and popular actor Pawan Kalyan won from Pithapuram Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh with a majority of 70,354. Kalyan was pitted against Bengal's Geetha Vishwanath of Jagan Mohan Reddy's Yuvajana Sramika Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP). In the 2019 elections, Pawan Kalyan lost from Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies. Janasena leads in 21 legislative constituencies and 2 parliamentary constituencies. This time, Pawan Kalyan has formed an alliance with the BJP and Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party for the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. As part of the seat-sharing agreement between the NDA partners, the Telugu Desam Party won 144 parliamentary and 17 parliamentary seats, while the BJP won six parliamentary and 10 parliamentary seats. Under the pact, Janasena contested in two Lok Sabha constituencies and 21 Assembly constituencies. The Pithapuram seat came into limelight after the seat went to the Jana Sena under the NDA's seat-sharing agreement and Kalyan, who belongs to the region's dominant Gate community, announced his candidature. The move forced the ruling YSRCP to field Kakinada Lok Sabha MP Vanga Geetha from the same pioneer community as its candidate. There are about 2.35 million voters in this segment, including 82,000 voters from the Kabui community, BC-79,000, SC-43,000 and others.
Apart from his constituency, Janasena is leading in all the 20 other Assembly constituencies and 2 Lok Sabha constituencies. Pawan Kalyan is a Game Changer in AP politics this year and he is expected to get a prominent place to play in the state in the future. Pawan is expected to play a crucial role in the NDA alliance.
