CBI court adjourns Gali bail plea till Nov 15

The special CBI court of Nampally in Hyderabad today adjourned till Nov 15 hearing on the bail petitions of mining mafia don Mr Gali Janardhan reddy and his brother-in-law Mr BV Srinivasa Reddy.

Both of them are now in the Chanchalguda jail as category A prisoners. Based on petitions filed by the accused, the Nampally court ordered the jail authorities to treat them as special prisoners and provide them separate rooms with all facilities.

While the counsel for Gali and Srinivasa reddy stressed on the need for granting bail to both of them, the counsel for the CBI objected to the plea and said they should not be grantee bail.

Gali was arrested by the CBI along with Srinivasa reddy at Bellary on September 5 in the illegal mining case. The case was registered against them in 2009 under the orders of the then chief minister K. Rosaiah.

The court had earlier dismissed their bail pleas three times and this is fourth time they have applied for bail.
