Gali judicial custody extended till Dec 3 as Srilakshmi joins him in jail

The special CBI court of Hyderabad today extended till Dec 3 the judicial remand of former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law BV Srinivasa Reddy in the illegal mining case.
The CBI produced both of them in the court as their judicial custody ended today. The special court had rejected their bail applications on Thursday.
Gali Janardhana Reddy and Srinivasa Reddy were arrested by CBI on September 5 at Bellary in Karnataka in connection with the illegal mining case registered against the Obulapuram Mining Company. The CBI will have to file the charge sheet within the stipulated 90 days from the date their arrest.
The CBI officials have already hinted they would file the charge sheet by Dec 3 and the charge sheet is under preparation.
CBI till now arrested two more persons in the case in addition to Gali and his brother in law. While the former mining department director Mr Rajagopal was arrested a few days earlier, CBI officials have today arrested the IAS officer Srilakshmi, accused number 4 in the case. (JUBS)
