The special CBI court at Nampally in Hyderabad today rejected the bail petition of the mining mafia czar Mr Gali Janardhan Reddy who was cooling his heels in the Chanchalguda jail after his arrest in the illegal mining case. The court rejected the bail plea of his brother-in-law Mr Srinivasa reddy too.
The special judge Mr Nagamaruthi Sarma also rejected the plea of the CBI which filed a petition seeking the custody of the arrested duo for further interrogation in the case.
The CBI sought their custody saying that there was a need to extract more information from them on the conduct of the illegal mining. “We need to interrogate them further as part of the investigations,” said the CBI in its petition.
