The special CBI court of Nampally in Hyderabad today dismissed the bail petition of Gali Janardhan reddy, accused number one in the illegal mining case.
Janardhan reddy, who has been lodged in the Chanchalguda jail, sought a temporary escort bail for two days to attend his mother’s annual ceremony at Bellary in Karnataka on Dec 31 and Jan 1.
Janardhan reddy’s counsel said the accused can be freed for two days with police escort and proper security measures.
However, the CBI objected to the bail petition and urged the court not to entertain the request as Gali may misuse his limited liberty to his advantage. The court agreed with the view of the CBI counsel and dismissed the bail petition.
The special court dismissed four regular bail petitions and one temporary bail petition of Gali till now. (JUBS)
