The missile man of India, former President A P J Abdul Kalam had to bear the brunt of the vocal missiles hauled across by the Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Monday. Thackeray slammed Kalam, "After saying that he was ready to swear an Italian Sonia Gandhi as the Prime Minister, Kalam has become a laughing stock," in his editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamana.

This was the second attack faced by the scientist after disclosing in his book Turning Points,  that he was ready to swear in Sonia Gandhi in 2004, despite intense opposition from some quarters. Over the same issue on Sunday the JD(U), had targeted Kalam.
