Maharashtra Government To Undergo Floor Test Tomorrow:- Maharashtra Government is in crisis after Eknath Shinde along with 40 MLAs turned rebels for the ruling government. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari asked the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to undergo a floor test to prove his majority in the house. The floor test will take place tomorrow. Rebel leader Eknath Shinde claims that he has the support of 50 MLAs and he sought the support of NCP. Maharashtra Chief Minister will move the motion seeking a vote of confidence. The government will survive if the majority vote in favour. The voting will be conducted either by voice vote or electronically. Through voice vote, MLAs will have to respond verbally.
For the electronic voting, the casting will happen by pressing a button. Ballot boxes are conducted for lawmakers and they can cast their votes through the box which will be counted. The rebel MLAs have camped first in Gujarat and then in Assam. They appointed their own leader and Chief Whip. The rebels say that they have 55 MLAs in total from Shiv Sena with them. There are talks that these rebel MLAs will join hands with the leaders of BJP. BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis met Governor Koshyari last night and he requested for a floor test. Governor Koshyari sent a letter to the Chief Minister and he referred that 39 Shiv Sena MLAs are in plans to exit the government of Maharashtra.
