Maharashtra Politics: BJP to Face Floor Test Tomorrow:- In a surprising move, BJP formed the government when NCP, Shiv Sena and Congress are in talks for an alliance. The issue reached Supreme Court and the apex court issued its verdict asking BJP to prove their strength in the state's Assembly tomorrow. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will have to prove his majority tomorrow and he called up for a cabinet meeting in his residence soon after the court's announcement. On the other side, NCP, Shiv Sena and Congress are quite confident that BJP will fall short of the magical number.
NCP said that the floor test will be an end for BJP's game. Congress said the Supreme Court order is a slap for ‘illegitimate’ BJP-Ajit Pawar govt which held ‘mandate’ hostage. Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil said that they respect the court's order and will prove their majority. The court also said that the voting will not take place by secret ballot and will be telecasted live. Earlier, a writ petition has been filed by Shiv Sena - NCP - Congress alliance challenging Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s decision.
