Stage set for NATA convention

The newly formed North American Telugu Association (NATA) is all set to celebrate its first anniversary this month. Stage has been set for the grand celebration of the event wherein nearly eight thousand Telugu people in America are going to take part. While many guests are all set to mark their attendance on the three day grand event from June 29, Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is going to be the chief guest and special attraction at the event. The convention will be hosted at George Brown Convention Center in Texas.

From political field, minister Sabita Indra Reddy, deputy chief minister  Damodar Rajanarsimha and BJP leader Kishan Reddy are going to take part. The three day annual function will host several cultural programmes too wherein children can show case their talent. Singers Malavika and others are going to add special charm to the lovely evenings by their melodious songs. Actor Rajendra Prasad is also going to take part in the event. Traditional programmes such as Harikatha and Burrakatha will be performed at the event. The tradition of Telugu will be protected and conserved especially when harikathas and burrakathas are not forgotten. Thanks to NATA for arranging these programmes on foreign land. Media partners for the event are TV9 and TV5.

Another NRI association-ATA's annual convention is also round the corner and will take place in the first week of July. So, presumably a tough competition between these two associations is on regarding the hosting of the annual events.
