90% of the Telangana Secretariat is Demolished:- The government of Telangana announced that the old buildings of the Secretariat are currently demolished and they are done with 90% of the demolition. The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said that 4500 truckloads of debris would be estimated to be moved and as of now 2000 loads of debris are already removed. The media personnel has been allowed on the premises last evening. The demolition process started on July 7th after the High Court granted permission for the government to demolish the Secretariat. Telangana Secretariat demolition will complete by the end of this month but it would take some more time for the dump to be cleared from the premises.

Telangana Secretariat's new building would be constructed in a year and the estimated budget is said to be Rs 500 crores. The Chief Minister's Office released the pictures of the new premises that would be constructed in the 25-acre space. Several petitions are registered in the High Court regarding the demolition of the Telangana Secretariat but the High Court asked the Telangana government to proceed further. The 10 blocks of the Telangana Secretariat are demolished which are constructed in 1888. On June 27th, Telangana Chief Minister KCR laid the foundation stone for the new Secretariat complex.
