Revanth Reddy suggest changes for Airport Metro:- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is considering a different Metro Rail route that would better serve the needs of commuters, as opposed to the Raidurg-Shamshabad airport route that the previous BRS government strongly advocated for. The state government intends to either eliminate or delay the Raidurg-airport route and instead focus on establishing a line between Lakdikapul and the Financial District. Additionally, they plan to complete the JBS-Falaknuma corridor and extend it to the airport via Pahadi Shareef, effectively covering significant areas of the Old City and the tech corridor.

During a meeting with the seven legislators of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on the development of the Old City, the Chief Minister hinted at this revolutionary change, which could be his first significant contribution to urban development. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of determining which route would be more beneficial for passengers, especially those commuting to the IT corridor. He highlighted the need for routes that would be convenient for passengers and their family members who frequently travel to the airport and cannot afford alternative modes of transportation.

The prevailing belief is that this initiative would solely benefit a select group of real estate agents who have amassed vast amounts of land. The BRS administration was incredibly enthusiastic about the venture, to the extent that they favored an engineering procurement construction (EPC) agreement, fully financed by the state government, instead of a collaboration between the public and private sectors.
