LPG Distributors Approach Telangana High Court:- Around 680 LPG distributors of Telangana approached the High Court of Telangana on Tuesday against the State Government. They alleged that the state government is trying to take control of them by bringing very old compliance passed by Telangana Petroleum Products order in 1980, which is for license and regulation of supplies.
LPG distributors are under the centre and follow Liquefied petroleum gas order 2000, which was issued by Union Petroleum Ministry. They completely follow the guidelines of the central government.
Now they claim that the state government is asking them to follow the old order, which will be a dual license for a storage permit in their premises. That is for the LPG and also license for the storage point separately, which will be licensed by the Chief Controller of Explosives of the Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organisation.
LPG association dealers claim that, with this order, state police, revenue and civil supplies officers can come and seize their gas cylinders, which is going to create inconvenience to the customers as well as to the dealers. Chief Justice as a sign of relief asked the state government not to insist the LPG distributors over the dual license till further orders.
