In a ghory incident, a police battalion instructor allegedly forced two constables to drink the urine of their fellow trainees on Sunday after the duo fought with other constables during lunch at a  kitchen. This incident, which took place in Meghalaya has alarmed the officials, who immediately suspended the instructor.

The sources said that the accused would be subjected to stringent action in case he's found guilty of the offence. Meghalaya home minister HDR Lyngdoh, who spoke on this issue has said that this kind of inhuman punishment was not permitted whether they were in police force or anywhere else. The home minister has also said that the battalion commandant was conducting a probe to know the exact reason of this inhumane treatment.  Borah, the suspended instructor, asked three constables to urinate in bottles and later directed the two constables to drink the same in the presence of 600 constable. This act was considered as suo moto.
