The Delhi High Court today dismissed the bail applications of DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, the main co-accused in the 2G Spectrum scam saying there is prima facie evidence against them for their complicity in the scam.The CBI’s allegation against them is that Kanimozhi and Mr Sharad Kumar received kickbacks to the tune of Rs.200 Cr from communication companies who received favours in 2G Spectrum allocations from the then communications minister of DMK Mr A. Raja.
“There is a clear evidence of their complicity in the scam and therefore the bail applications are dismissed,” said Justice Ajit Bharihoke pronouncing the order.
Tears rolled down the eyes of Kanimozhi and her mother Rajathi Ammal who were present in the court along with DMK leader TR Balu when the order was pronounced by the judge.
