VK Sasikala announces to stay away from Politics:- VK Sasikala played a crucial role in Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's political career. She was the closest aide for Jayalalithaa and things changed completely after her demise. VK Sasikala was sent to jail in the disproportionate assets case and she returned back home recently. After the announcement of the Assembly poll schedule in Tamil Nadu, there are debates going on about VK Sasikala's political moves. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also had a word with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami about VK Sasikala's role in AIADMK.

Leaving everyone in surprise, VK Sasikala announced that she would stay away from politics. Sasikala released a two pages statement informing about her political exit. She said that she and her supporters would work for All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). She said that it was the dream of Jayalalithaa to see the party ruling Tamil Nadu for more than a century. "The cadre of AIADMK will work hard to prevent the evil force DMK from returning to power," told VK Sasikala in her statement. She also said that she is not interested to take up any position or role or power in the state and she thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for the love showered on her.

VK Sasikala preferred to pray to Jayalalithaa and dream of her golden rule turn true. Sasikala was jailed for four years and she returned back to Chennai from Bengaluru prison in the end of January. Sasikala's nephew TTV Dhinakaran tried hard but could not VK Sasikala to stay away from politics. There are talks that VK Sasikala's exit from politics would be a positive move for AIADMK.
