Assembly Elections 2021: BJP underperforms in all the states:- The counting for the Assembly polls which took place last month commenced and concluded yesterday. BJP which is ruling the Indian government underperformed in all the states. The ruling party received a huge jolt in West Bengal and AITC led by Mamata Banerjee showed complete majority in the polls and won 213 constituencies out of the 294 seats. There was huge confusion in Nandigram where Mamata contested. The Election Commission initially announced that Mamata won in the constituency but later the BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari was announced. The recounting is happening and Mamata is in plans to approach the court soon.
