Finally Nirbhaya Convicts Hanged:- At last after seven years, the four Nirbhaya case convicts as been hanged till death today (friday) early hours. The four convicts Mukesh Singh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Akshay Kumar Singh were executed together at early morning 5:30 am in Tihar Jail.
Escaping from hanging, the four convicts played numerous tactics, they knocked the doors of Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. They put various curative petetions but the courts rejected.
After execution of the Convicts, Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi said that the justice has finally been done and now the women will definitely feel safer. And She wants this day(March 20) to dedicate to all the women of the country because Nirbhaya has got the justice today.
Nirbhaya's father also expressed his satisfaction and told that "Our wait for justice was painful and agonising. We appeal for observing this day as Nirbhaya Nyay Diwas (day of justice)".
The Crowds who were gathered with posters 'thanks to judiciary' and 'the morning of justice' at Tihar jail are celebrated after the execution and they raised slogans 'Nirbhaya Zindabad' and 'long live Nirbhaya'. They also distributed sweets among all outside the jail.
