YSR Congress party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared that they won't be fielding any of its party men for Rajya Sabha elections. This decision of Jagan has surprised many political analysts as why did Jagan went back foot on Rajya Sabha elections which enables them to increase their number in the upper house.
Well here are the reasons, Jagan has decided not to take or give support to any political party in the state which would benefit them in terms of the only party fighting for the sake of United Andhra Pradesh. To win a Rajya Sabha seat, 16 MLAs supports is required and Jagan has 17 MLAs from his party. However, in the recent past many leaders from YSR Congress party are shifting their bases to TDP and Congress and rumors are that Jagan has no confidence about his own members. But Political analysts say that Jagan would anyhow get support from Congress or TDP MLAs who are supporting United Andhra Pradesh.
In another reason, Jagan is in wait and watch mood as reports of new political party in favor of United Andhra Pradesh is waving entire state. Already the promo of the new party is creating stir in Media and if CM Kiran heads this new party, many would jump into it which would eventually defeat Jagan's Rajya Sabha candidates.
Overall Jagan scrutized the political situation in Andhra Pradesh very keenly and made a move to be away from Rajya Sabha polls.
