Responding to the reported decision of the government to pledge the properties of the SC and BC corporations to collect money for reimbursement of the students’ fee to the engineering colleges, senior TDP leader Devender Goud today asked the government to pledge assembly and secretariat premises and also the bungalow of the chief minister.
Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, Goud opposed the decision of the government to pledge the properties of SC and BC corporations to raise funds for the purpose of fee reimbursement and said these corporations have been already running without funds and the Chief minister Kirankumar reddy’s decision in this regard is not acceptable at all. “Already they have been forced to be inactive as there are no funds and pledging of their properties would lead to their winding up,” Goud charged.
The government has already closed 17 corporations and federations and the present decision would lead to permanent closure of SC and BC corporations, he said.
Rejecting the argument of the government that it has no funds to make the reimbursement of fees, Goud said the revenue of the government has improved by leaps and bounds. “They are spending crores of rupees on advertisements and why can’t they make payments for reimbursement of students’ fee?” he asked.
