Chandrababu slams YS Jagan for mortgaging AP Secretariat:- TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu strongly condemned Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for using the State Secretariat building as collateral. In a social media post, Naidu expressed his disappointment in the YSRC government for mortgaging the building for a massive amount of Rs 370 crore. He considered this action a disgrace to the State and to Jagan himself. Naidu questioned the significance of mortgaging the very place where the Chief Minister conducts the affairs of the State, stating that it not only puts the building at risk but also diminishes the self-esteem of the Telugu people. Naidu further accused Jagan of damaging the reputation of Andhra Pradesh and called for the people to evaluate the losses suffered under an incompetent, arrogant, and destructive regime.

In addition, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh also expressed his shock at the news that the YSRC government, which is already burdened with debts of Rs 12.5 lakh crore, resorted to using the Secretariat as collateral. Lokesh highlighted that mortgaging the Secretariat for Rs 370 crore signifies a significant decline and goes beyond comparison with Sri Lanka's economic crisis. He pointed out that despite facing economic challenges, Sri Lanka has managed to preserve the integrity of its governance center.

Minister for Water Resources, Ambati Rambabu, dismissed the claims made by Naidu and his son regarding the Secretariat being mortgaged for Rs 370 crore. Rambabu described these claims as a mere fabrication by the TDP's media allies. He believed that this was an attempt to divert attention and create a false sense of urgency, when in reality, nothing of that sort had taken place. Rambabu expressed confidence that the people of Andhra Pradesh were well aware of the TDP's tactics and would not fall for such false propaganda. He further predicted that after the YSRC's fourth Siddham meeting, the TDP would lose its influence in Andhra Pradesh.
