The Telangana government is planning to set up country's largest incubator for start ups and make Hyderabad a wi-fi enabled city. Telangana Information Techbnology minister KT Rama Rao has asked the officials to draft a road map involving international corporations and GHMC, Hyderabad Metro Development Authority, Revenue and Hyderabad Metro.
The government also wants to establish a separate authority to look after the Information Technology Investment Region [ITIR] for creating a hub of electronic manufacturing units. This will directly and indirectly benefit the young engineers providing lakhs and lakhs of jobs.
The turnover of IT sector is over 62,000 Thousand crores and the government wants to double the revenue in next few years. So far Hyderabad is the second largest IT exporter in the country.
