The rain God means well, but Telangana is suffering more than benefiting from it. Various regions in Telangana including Adilabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Warangal and Nijamabad districts are witnessing heavy rainfall. Adding to the State's woes is the rising water levels at Godavari. Water is running everywhere, halting life everywhere.
Water levels are predicted to increase further in the next 24 hours. Crops across the said regions are having it the hardest, with thousands of acres underwater. Water bodies around Adilabad are showing no respite as overflowing cannot be stopped. In Bellampalli area, coal mining came to a standstill due to the break less rain for the past 3 days. According to reports, about 5000 tons of coal extraction has been stopped at Khairiguda and Dorli. Several roads across the Telangana region are also cut off because of the rains.
