Amid speculation that CBI is likely to arrest IAS officer Srilakshmi and former director of the Mining department Rajagopal in the Gali Janardhan reddy case in the next 24 hours, Mr Rajagopal appeared before the CBI officials today in the case related to illegal wealth of YSR Congress Chief Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy.

CBI has found that Rajagopal had granted mining leases to several firms which invested in companies owned by Jagan during his tenure as the director of the mines department. In this connection, he was questioned today by the investigating agency.

Rajagopal was one of the accused in the illegal mining case registered against Gali Janardhan reddy. Sri Lakshmi’s name has also been added as one of the accused in the case at a later stage
