Suspended IAS officer Srilakshmi feels she has been made a scapegoat in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy while the real culprits are moving freely.
Cursing herself for her distressed condition, Srilakshmi has not been willing to mix with co-women prisoners in the women’s cell of the barracks number 9 in the Chanchalguda jail where
she has been lodged presently.
“She is not mixing with any one and most of the times she has been spending time lonely, at times weeping for her distress,” said a jail official. Most of her women co-prisoners in the barracks were those jailed in anti-dowry cases and very rarely Srilakshmi has been speaking to them.
On Sunday, all the women prisoners were served with chicken as part of the lunch but Srilakshmi preferred only vegetarian, according to the jail officials.
In quite contrast, Mr Vijay Sai Reddy, arrested and jailed in the illegal properties case of YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy, is not at all bitten by the feeling that he was jailed.
Sources said Vijay Sai has been daily getting up early in the morning and playing shuttle with others as part of his daily exercise.
“Vijay Sai seems to be very active even in jail and has been waiting for the CBI officials to pick him up at 9.30 am daily,” said a jail official. (JUBS)
