The Telangana political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram today demanded the Union Minister for Petroleum, Mr Jaipal reddy to quit his post immediately for the sake of Telangana.
Addressing a media conference in Delhi, he said Jaipal reddy must resign immediately to put more pressure on the Centre into declaring Telangana state. “If he doesn’t resign now, when will he quit? Will he resign after the entire Telangana turns into a burial ground?” Kodanda ram asked angrily.
Kodanda ram however promised to intensify the T agitation to ensure that Jaipal reddy too quits his post.
Ramagundam MLA to resign
Ramagundam Congress MLA Mr S. Satyanarayana said today that he would quit his MLA post on Tuesday in the presence of the people.
Speaking to media persons in Ramagundam, he hinted at more congress MLAs quitting their posts if the Congress high command doesn’t announce Telangana state formation immediately. “I am resigning tomorrow and more MLAs may follow suit soon,” he said, adding that Congress would announce Telangana state only if there is enough pressure on it.
He also supported the mass general strike saying that the strike must continue till the separate state is formed.
Jupally Krishna Rao spits fire on T ministers
Former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today lambasted the ministers of the T region for not coming forward to quit their posts for the sake of Telangana. “While the striking employees have not even claimed their salaries and have been continuing their agitation for the sake of Telangana, the ministers are behaving as if nothing has happened,” Jupally told media persons in Hyderabad.
