The Telangana political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram said today that the mass general strike by the employees would be continued till a clear announcement is made on the formation of the Telangana state.
Speaking to journalists in Hyderabad, Kodanda Ram alleged the Government has been conspiring to suppress the strike with all its resources at its disposal.
“Instead of burning the effigy of demonic Ravana for the Vijayadasami, the Telangana people should burn the effigies of the ten-headed congress party,” he appealed to the people.
Promising to intensify the agitation, the JAC leader said his organization would chalk out its future course of action on Oct 7 and 8. “There is no change in the programme of Rail Roko proposed earlier for three days from Oct 9.”
Kodanda Ram made light of the statement of finance minister Pranab Mukherjee that creation of Telangana would lead to more demands for division of states in the country and said that his views were personal and not that of his congress party.
