Centre’s mind on T state not known: Madhu Yashki

MadhuYaskiCongress MP of the Telangana region Mr Madhu Yaskhi Goud said today that the mind of the Centre on the demand for formation of Telangana state is yet to be known.

Speaking to media persons soon after his return to Hyderabad from Delhi this evening, Mr Madhu said that the Centre has not yet revealed its mind. “We have yet to know its stance on the issue,” he said.

Referring to media reports on the proposed merger of the TRS with the congress party, he said the rumours on the merger of TRS with the congress would weaken the T agitation and appealed to media and leaders not to indulge in rumours.

“No discussions have taken place on the issue of TRS merger with the congress,” he said.

Progress made in Delhi trip: Kodanda

The Telangana political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram said today that the Delhi bosses have recognized the need to form the Telangana state.

“At least they have recognized the need to form the separate state of Telangana and we consider this as the progress made during our Delhi trip,” said Kodanda Ram at the Shamshabad airport after returning from Delhi along with his team.

“However, there is no need for more discussions and we told the national leaders the same thing,” he said.

Observing that their fight is against the Centre and not against the people of the Seema Andhra area, Kodanda ram said that there is no alternative for them to continue the strike till Telangana state is achieved.

Referring to the attack on buses in the Nalgonda district, the JAC leader said the attacks were not intentional. “We are conducting the agitation in the non-violent manner and we will not change our attitude,” he said.
