With the Telangana employees’ JAC calling off the 42-day strike last night, all government offices have begun brimming with activity today across Telangana.
Several departments in the State secretariat too have reported normal attendance and hundreds of people are seen waiting in queues for registrations and driving licenses at RTA offices in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Reports said Government employees are reporting for duty in all revenue and municipal offices across Telangana districts. However, due to the Deepavali festival, the attendance of employees is only 50 percent in some of the government offices.
The revenue department in Karimnagar district has suffered revenue loss of Rs.320 Cr due to the strike with other districts in the Telangana reporting more or less similar amounts of losses, according to sources.
Meanwhile, Mr Raghu, the JAC chairman of the Telangana electricity department employees’ unions called of his fast in the presence of the political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram.
