Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has denied the reports of Rahul Gandhi adopting her teenage son that he could use the Gandhi name and join politics. The 42 year old daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, has a son, Raihan and daughter, Miraya, with husband Robert Vadra, a businessman.

Recently a newspaper claimed that vice president of Congress, Rahul Gandhi is adopting Priyanka's 13 year old Raihan so that it could be a factor for him to get into politics. Also the newspaper reported that Rahul Gandhi had been named as guardian of Raihan in school forms.

However, Priyanka Gandhi has denied all these rumors and sent a legal notice to the media organisation for publishing such baseless reports. “This pernicious falsehood is clearly aimed at causing deep offence to my family and is an unacceptable aspersion on my motherhood and on my character,” said Priyanka in her notice.
