Monkey at the mall

Initial reports of a monkey being found around the IKEA store in Toronto, Canada were suspected to be pranks of shoppers who might be monkeying around but it turned out to be true when the store administration found the stranded monkey wearing a plush coat outside the store.

The staff managed to corner the monkey to prevent any “monkeying” that could have troubled the shoppers and called the police. The police who promptly arrived took custody of the primate who was later contacted by the owner who lost track of it. And then a happy movie like reunion scene happened.

Sgt. Ed Dzingala said the monkey never made it inside the store. It was learned that the monkey managed to break open from the crate and being intelligent, it couldn't resist the urge to explore and discover its surroundings before the IKEA shoppers spotted the poor creature.

The incident became a viral one on the internet; two people have also created accounts on Twitter pretending to be the stranded monkey. Apparently, someone has too much time on their hands; people these days *sigh*
