Monkey Fever Case Reported In Kerala's Wayanad

Monkey Fever Case Reported In Kerala's Wayanad:- Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) which is popularly known as monkey fever has been confirmed in Kerala's Wayanad district. The authorities looked worried and they are waiting for the confirmation of another case and a high alert has been issued in the district. The issues are even reported in Karnataka and with the two cases registered, the officials and Kerala Government alerted everyone. A 36-year old man from Athattukunnu colony near Aranappara got admitted in Manathavady District Hospital and he was diagnosed with monkey fever.

A 27-year-old man from Thonikkadavu colony in Bavali was then admitted in Government Medical College, Kozhikode after which the hospital authorities were worried. The symptoms of monkey fever have been detected and they clarified that they are out of danger. The authorities are waiting if they can find any new cases and take necessary precautions. All the minor forest produce collectors and other residents across the region are alerted by the Kerala Government. Monkey fever is a type of viral disease usually transmitted to humans via a particular kind of tick found on monkeys.
