Pranab Mukherjee has resigned for the Congress party. The veteran leader, who tagged himself as a loyalist Congress man, has finally said a bye-bye to the party to sit in President's throne. Pranab officially left the party on Monday with AICC supremo Sonia Gandhi herself giving a send-off to dada. The prime minister Manmohan Singh, who has also given a farewell, said the government would miss an able politician.
The Congress Working Committee has convened a special meeting to give farewell to Pranab Mukherjee. Sonia Gandhi had all praises for Pranab and called him as a senior most member of Congress Working Committee. She expressed her happiness that UPA made him a presidential candidate.
