The Country Mourns Pranab Mukherjee's Demise:- Indian ex-President and senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee who had a political experience of five decades passed away in a private hospital in New Delhi last evening. The entire country is left in a stage of shock and mourned his demise. His mortal remains are placed in his 10 Rajaji Marg residence till noon. He will be cremated at the Lodhi Road crematorium at 2:30 PM. The Indian flags at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament fly at half-mast and the Indian government announced seven days mourning to be observed in the country. The 84-year-old politician has been suffering from long illness and he was operated recently. Pranab Mukherjee was even tested positive with coronavirus.
The entire political fraternity lauded his work and his contribution to Indian politics. Congress postponed the virtual election rally in Bihar for three days with the sudden demise of Pranab Mukherjee. Several international leaders, Presidents and Prime Ministers of various countries reminded about their association with Pranab Mukherjee. All the government offices and institutions across West Bengal will be closed today marking the demise of Pranab Mukherjee. Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi penned an emotional journey about Pranab Mukherjee's contribution to Indian politics and how he stood tall as one of the most important leaders of Indian politics. Pranab Mukherjee will be missed. Rest in peace to one of the greatest leaders of the country.
