Acid attack on girl, lover plans for refusing

Is it fair on anyone’s part to force someone to like them? If the person does not oblige, is attacking the only way out? Absurd, but still prevalent.

The heinous incident just proves the beastly instinct of a lover boy who repeatedly proposed to a girl who refused him. Every time he was offended he employed to goons to attack her. And of all the weird things his mother was a pillar of support to the miscreant. Twice they hired attackers to attack the girl with a small knife and the third time a major acid attack. The accused employed goons and paid them Rs. 40,000 in advance and promised more for successful attack. Had the girl registered the case in the first instance, she would not have been in this situation, today. The clueless case was deftly handled by the police and solve after interrogating many.

Police sources revealed that eventually the perpetrators attacked the 22-year old Arthi, an HSC pass-out from SNDT College, has been working as a telephone operator in a private firm at Goregaon for the past one year. She was attacked at Goregaon Station, in Mumbai, while trying to purchase the tickets. The assailants threw acid on her face. She suffered 10-15 per cent burns from the acid attack. Her eyebrows, chin, chest and forearms were partially burnt.

Police have nabbed Nasir Shaikh alias Pintu and his mother Manju Anwar Ali Shaikh, on whose orders the offence had been carried out, on Monday. The two assailants Firoz Memon alias Papa (23) and Firoz Zuber Sheikh alias Mannu (20), were also arrested by the police. As per the mother son duo admitted that they committed the crime because they had lent Rs 10 lakh to Aarti's father and the latter was not returning the money. Later police sources said after interrogation gained details that Pintu loved Aarti and wanted to marry her.

The mother-son duo has been booked under Sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 120 (B) (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
