Kanimozhi, the most discussed topic the last six months in the country. It could be due to the magnitude of her accusations, or because of her public relations at the centre, or back home speculation of besieging the DMK plum rank from her step brothers. The lady is always in the reckoning.

Anyway, as of now she is just days out of bail, after being accused in the nation’s largest 2G scam. She has just returned to a rousing reception at home in Chennai, by a Jet Airways flight from New Delhi at 13:30 hrs. She was greeted at the airport by her 87-year old father and DMK President M Karunanidhi and step brother MK Stalin among others. Accompanied by her husband Aravindan and son Aditya, she returned home after a gap of more than six months. It was an emotional re-union with her family as she met her caring father after a long gap. Ms.Kanimozhi will be in Chennai till December 6 and return to Delhi to attend the hearing of the 2G case.

Before leaving to Chennai, she spoke to the media at New Delhi, `I am happy that people are getting bail, but more than the bail, I have to prove my innocence. I am sure I will do it.’ She has been granted bail on the grounds that she is a woman and mother to a small child. The fact that was realized only when the MP had applied the sixth time for bail.

Earlier when the DMK patriarch Dr. Karunanidhi was asked whether Ms. Kanimozhi would be given a new post in DMK, he suggested that the party members shall decide on this regards. A recent report suggests that the face of DMK Kanimozhi could be rewarded a plum rank in the DMK hierarchy. And an announcement is soon to be heard.

So it is our time to wait and watch over the developments. Can she pull herself out of the burning issue, the 2G scam and will she able to convince her strong step brothers and step into premium ranks of the DMK file.
