Yeddy proves majority, fourth time!

Yeddy proves majority, fourth time!Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa proved his majority in the state assembly once again today. The Yeddyurappa-led BJP government won the trust vote, his fourth one after he became the CM, by 119 votes in favour and none against him.

Amid boycott by the congress and JDS members, Yeddyurappa moved a one-line resolution in the assembly that stated ‘the House expresses confidence in the BJP ministry’ led by him and thereafter the Speaker declared it passed.

The chief minister moved the confidence resolution as per the decision taken at the BJP legislature party meeting on Wednesday.

The BJP has strength of 110 MLAs in the 224-member house falling short by 3 members for a simple majority. But he formed his government with the support of the independent MLAs and faced the trust vote three times earlier.
