Last minute… No tension!

GettingReadyOh God… this Office people I tell you… in order to celebrate the success achieved on the project release a week ago, the entire Office, along with the Managers have decided to celebrate the occasion and announced the party, in fact a bash, right after half an hour. I only had round about 2 hours including the travelling time, to rush home, get ready and reach to the party… very messy isn’t it? But, I have managed this last minute tension thoroughly. Let me share my experience of getting ready to the party last minute and here it is;

Just picked that black top and blue Jeans that is best suited on me. Blacks and whites are the saviors you know.

Blow dried the hair that in turn looked like a proper and well managed hair, with lots of volume. To add to that Party look, initially left the hair loose. But, carried the clutch as well.

Unloaded the back. Just a comb, lip gloss, tissues and a mobile and of course the clutch.

Wore that perfect watch, with a big bold dial, that would suit the party mood as well.

Instead of ending up in a mess, I have simplified my makeup process. Just blended the foundation into the skin all over face and neck, highlighted eyes with a regular eye shadow, gave that volume to eye brows, to get a smoky eyes look, put a bit more eye liner and kajal, and even mascara to the eye lids. Looked like perfect!

Did not even think of putting a cheek rose. This is not on screen. It is a party, thought of being one among the group and yet something special, but not ‘outstanding’.

Thought of highlighting the lips as well, so, put that lip gloss of my favorite color which is a darker one only. It has to enhance my complexion of course.

Made sure the nails of my hands and legs are perfect in appearance. Quickly highlighted them with a shiny nail color.

I am wearing jeans and sporting a modern look, so made sure that I appear the same. Removed all that gold jwellery. And just put on those studs over the ears.

Oh! How can I forget, the foot wear. Wore those flats that I have put aside for these kinds of special occasions. Now, why flats and not heels? Simple, Party hai boss… you need to shake a leg if required and just roam here and there, so heels are a big unfriendly.

Finally, before leaving home and making an entry to party put on that inherent jwellery on my face, ‘Smile’!

Kyapataa, even you would encounter the same situation very soon? So, be prepared.
