Don't let it split!

Trying to fix your split shafts is very much like trying to affix a split nail: it won't happen! There is absolutely no way you can seal your split once the ends have frayed. So the only option to get them off your head is to run a scissor through it. However, if you have been trying to grow your hair long, snipping off your mane could be really heart breaking. So what do you do? Well, as they say, prevention is better than cure. If you can't go for a hair cut every six weeks, this is what you can do to minimize hair damage.

Opt for alcohol free shampoos that are known to hydrate your hair unlike the harsh shampoos that will make your shaft drier. Also, always rinse your hair with cold water to avoid your mane from drying up and splitting.

Never towel dry your hair. Rubbing it up against your towel can strip it off of its much needed moisture. Also, steer clear of blow dryers unless you have to. Air drying your hair is possibly the best way to minimize daily damage.

Once the shaft splits, it's best to get a hair cut. Getting rid of dry, frayed hair will ensure that you sport lovely locks, top to end.
