Obesity and Female reproductive disorders are linked says Study:- A new study told that there is a link between obesity and female reproductive disorders as per the conditions. The study is published in the PLOS Medicine journal. The female reproductive disorders are quite common among women and they have an impact on the health. The relation between obesity and female reproductive disorders are under studied and the research was conducted on 2,57,193 women of the European ancestry. All the women are aged between 40 and 69. The records of UK Biobank are accessed which have the genetic, medical and environmental information of the participants.

The disorders including uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome, heavy menstrual bleeding, and pre-eclampsia are linked to obesity as per the study. The study had several limitations but the final research revealed that Obesity and Female reproductive disorders are linked. There should be a need to explore the mechanisms that are mediating the overweight and obesity on the gynaecological health. These targets are used to identify the disease prevention and treatment.
