7,666 candidates have filed their nominations for the October 15 Maharashtra Assembly polls and as many as 91 people have filed nomination for the Nanded South constituency. Maharashtra probably for the first time will witness a battle between four major parties who are looking to occupy the chief minister post.
Shiv Sena and BJP ended their 25 years old bond while Nationalist Congress party parted away from Congress due to no proper consensus in seat sharing. Congress party also moved away from Samajwadi party and is daring contesting alone hoping to win the election for the fourth consecutive time in a row.
