Maharashtra heads for a 15 day Lockdown:- Maharashtra happens to be the most impacted state in the country due to coronavirus and the spread, second wave is unstoppable in the state despite of several measures taken. The government now imposed lockdown in the state starting from tomorrow and Section 144 is imposed in the state. All the essential services will be made available in the state for the next 15 days. Maharashtra Chief Minister is in plans to request the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to direct the air force to help the state to reach the requirement of oxygen. All the public transport facilities will be available for essential workers and not for general public. The e-commerce platforms will be allowed to deliver the essential goods across the state. The government strictly banned all the religious, political, cultural and social events in the state for the next 15 days.

Maharashtra government announced that 3kg wheat and 2kg rice will be provided to the poor and needy in the state for the next one month. Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray announced the news through a press conference last night. Section 144 will be implemented till May 1st. Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray asked the people not to step out of their homes unless there is an emergency. The trains and flights would continue to operate. All the schools, colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed for this month. Home delivery is allowed for all the restaurants in Maharashtra. All the amusement parks, movie plexes, hotels, pubs, swimming pools, gyms will remain shut for the season. All the film shoots and serial shoots are called off in the state.

All the weddings happening in this season will have a maximum number of 25 people present. Funerals can take place with 20 people in presence.
