EVM Glitches Hit Third Phase Lok Sabha Polls:- The third phase of Lok Sabha polls completed on a peaceful note in the country yesterday. As predicted, the whole country witnessed glitches in the EVM machines across the country. A record percentage of 80 was recorded across Assam in this phase in which elections have been held across 117 Lok Sabha constituencies across 15 states. The Election Commission officials clarified that the voting percentage registered was 65.78 across the country. With EVM glitches and soaring temperatures, several polling booths witnessed long queues of voters even after the scheduled time.
With this, the polls in 302 Lok Sabha constituencies came to an end. West Bengal registered 79.77%, Tripura witnessed 79.57%, Goa stood with 72.23%. Gujarat registered 63.67%, Kerala had 71.67% and Karnataka witnessed 67.56% in the polls. A voter was hacked to death in West Bengal's Murshidabad district during a violent clash between Trinamul and Congress workers. Apart from this, the polling went on a smooth and peaceful note. The results of Lok Sabha polls would be out on May 23rd.
