The Second Phase of Elections in India Starts Today:- The first phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in India got completed on April 11th and exactly after a week, the second phase of polls started today across the country. The elections are taking place across 95 Lok Sabha constituencies and some of the states are heading for Assembly polls too. 1600 candidates are testing their luck in this second phase of elections across 11 Indian states. Tamil Nadu is heading for polls in 38 of 39 Parliament constituencies. The Vellore poll has been canceled by the Election Commission after a huge amount of cash has been found from DMK leader's aide.
Prominent leaders like HD Deve Gowda, Dayanidhi Maran, A Raja, Jitendar Singh, Jual Oram, Sadananda Gowda, Pon Radhakrishnan and Kanimozhi are testing their luck with these polls. Along with these, Odisha is heading for polls in 35 Assembly constituencies. The polling started on a decent note and no violent situations have been registered. The results of these polls will be out on May 23rd. Here are the number of Lok Sabha constituencies as per the states which are heading for polls:
