Smriti Irani Gets Additional Charge:- Union Minister Smriti Irani is one among the most powerful leaders and she has been efficient with her assigned work. As a loyal leader to BJP, Smriti Irani has always been a helping hand for the party when in need.Smriti Irani has been the minister for Textiles and she has been assigned an additional charge of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry from Venkaiah Naidu. The Prime Minister's office informed the news through their official twitter handle after Venkaiah Naidu resigned from his services today. Smriti Irani is a Rajyasabha MP and her term ends on August 18th. Elections for Rajya Sabha seats in Gujarat, the state represented by Ms Irani, Bengal and Goa will be held on August 8.

Smriti Irani has always been active on twitter and has been responding to the problems of the people. She even has been appreciated for the quick response and Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Amit Shah, the party Chief has enough confidence on her work. The whole BJP cabinet assumed that Smriti Irani will be assigned the responsibilities of Venkaiah Naidu who has been nominated as the Vice-Presidential candidate for NDA. After the parliamentary board met last evening, the decision has been revealed by the government and Venkaiah Naidu submitted his resignation today which has been accepted. Venkaiah Naidu even filed his nomination for the position of Vice-President as the candidate of BJP and it allies.

The election will take place on August 5th and there are talks that it was Narendra Modi and Amit Shah who convinced Venkaiah Naidu for the role of Vice-President. Venkaiah Naidu will not be quite acitive in political activities from now and he will be restricted so that Amit Shah will have a free hand across the Telugu speaking states. Venkaiah Naidu announced as the Vice-Presidential candidate received mixed response all over.
