Blast Creates Panic in Ibrahimpatnam, No Casualties

In a shocking incident, a suspicious blast creating panic for the people living in Ibrahimpatnam. This blast came soon a day after a person was injured in a low-intensity blast.

According to the police, two persons, including a woman suffered minor injuries in the blast that occurred on Sunday afternoon.

The police believe that a gelatin stick abandoned by some locals who wanted to frighten wild animals caused the blast. But the two blasts on consecutive days have created suspicion and panic among people in the area.

“The incident occurred around 2.50 pm after a man stepped on some explosive material lying underground,” Police Commissioner (Rachakonda) Mahesh M Bhagwat told PTI.

“The explosive might be gelatin which was buried in the mud. Local people here use that kind of explosives to frighten wild boars,” said Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat.

As soon as the locals informed the police about the blast, the Clues team along with forensic experts and a bomb disposal squad were rushed to the spot where the explosion took place. The local police have started an investigation into the matter.
