Beirut Blast: Lebanon Government Steps Down:- The Beirut's blasts are one of the deadliest incidents that took place in the recent years. Lebanon's prime minister Hassan Diab announced resignation after there was huge outrage in the country. The Beirut port explosion triggered huge street protests across the country. The entire government including the Prime Minister, ministers and other legislators submitted their resignations and the President accepted the resignation. The protestors demanded an end to the political system after which Hassan Diab took this decision. Hassan Diab said "I am announcing the resignation of the government".
As per the reports, 160 people passed away in the Beirut blasts and 6000 people got wounded. 20 people are still missing after the disaster took place. The massive chemical blast was felt across the country and reached the island of Cyprus. The debris is still being cleared after a week. Several international teams with sniffer dogs with the latest equipment are working. The country's top officials are investigating the matter. There is no trace about the next elections as the country needs time to recover from the tragedy. The President Micle Aoun accepted the resignations but he asked the government to stay as a caretaker until the new cabinet in the country would be formed.
